Carob trees are harvested mainly at Eastern Mediterranean areas at high altitudes away from noisy cities and highways. In order to produce its fruits (carobs), it needs up to 8 years. Its height can reach up to 5-10m and if left unharmed it can reach up to 20m. Its leaves have a rich dark green colour with fat and skinny fruits, full from a dense flour flesh with sweet flavour and yellow colour.
Carobs are rich in calcium, phosphorus, iron, carbohydrates, proteins, etc.
Carob syrup is the syrup from the fruit of carob which is fat, dark brown ruit of the carob tree.
